We don't have a choice on whether we do social media, the question is how well we do it. -Erik Qualman
About the Workshop Series
Interested in how to use Social Media for business? The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development committee would like to welcome area business people to February’s TGIF Workshop, Friday, February 17 from Noon-1:30PM. The topic being presented is ‘Social Media Essentials and Your Web Presence’ by Mack Deibel and corresponds with the global Social Media Week celebration.
With more than half of the world’s population under 30 years of age, the need for interactive and social media marketing is growing. For many businesses, they have their Facebook Page and they wonder, “What next?” Mack Deibel is here to answer some of those questions, provide guidance, and offer simple tips to improve your social media space. Also, he will explain the differences and benefits of other social medias besides Facebook. Beyond social media, he will touch on your overall web presence, ways to effectively enhance your reach and help consumers find you through Google Places, Reciprocal Links, and your website.
Mack will teach you the basics to control the image of your brand and help you connect with customers, clients and fans online. Mack is the Communications Specialist at the Chamber. His background is advertising with an interactive and social media focus.
“My professors stressed, ‘you are social media experts’ because we grew up with it, lived it, and continuously help it grow,” explains Deibel. “They also encouraged, as well as forced, us to create interactive and social media campaigns. Our efforts should be focused on getting people to engage with our brands not just pushing our products and information.”
Please join the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce at this wonderful workshop and learn about the tools you need to get funding for your small business. Advance registration and prepayment are required. The cost is $20 for Chamber members, $25 for non-members and includes a boxed lunch.
