Sunday , June 9th:   Piano Sunday with Kaylee Cole
Join us for a special Piano Sunday treat with Los Angeles-based pianist and singer, Kaylee Cole! Kaylee found her voice, her songs and her passion for playing music after an intense car accident in college. Her origin story is more Marvel comic than real life. In the accident, the radio knobs punctured her leg and activated an ancient voice within her, songs that were waiting to come to the surface. Much like Spider Man, bit by the spider, she operates under the mantra that, “with great power, comes great responsibility”. Kaylee considers herself to be a song keeper and takes this role seriously seeing it as a joy and a responsibility. Recognizing the profound healing power of music, her intention in every song and performance is to spill her guts onstage so that the audience can find a piece of their own truth with her. She has shared the stage with The Lumineers, The Head and the Heart, and Damien Jurado. Collaborating with TV on the Radio, Hey Marseilles, Pickwick, Widower, Nick Jaina and many more. Referred to as an “accidental artist” by Sandpoint Magazine -- Scott is also an accomplished pianist -- he began painting in 2005 after nine months of drawing with dual-tip brush pens. Though some of Scott’s artwork is inspired by actual locales, most are imagined scenes or composites of the familiar images, skies, structures and enormous open landscapes found in the High Plains and the Heartland. ArtWalk is an annual summer-time tradition where local businesses and galleries join with POAC to provide exciting art exhibits in Sandpoint’s downtown core. Local singer and guitarist, Doug Bond, will provide the perfect background music for the Art Walk reception. 5:30-8:00pm. Free and Open to the Public.
