SUMMARY:Spokane to Sandpoint
DESCRIPTION:The Spokane to Sandpoint Relay (S2S) begins atop picturesque Mt. Spokane and winds through 50 miles of world class Centennial Trail\, along 60 miles of property adjacent to waterfront\, meanders through two National Forests en route to the finish line on the beach of Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint\, Idaho. The S2S will feature a 200 mile running relay and will take place on August 26th-27th\, 2016. Spokane to Sandpoint Relay has quickly become one of the Pacific Northwest's premier overnight relay events. The race supports runners of every level with standard teams of 8-12 runners\, ultra teams of 4-6 or super-ultra with less than 4 runners. In addition to producing exceptional events\, the mission of the Cascade Lakes Race Group is to support local non-profit organizations and businesses in the communities we travel through. We "hire" approximately 100 volunteers and donate directly to the non-profit/community group they are representing and supporting. In 2015 over $7\,000 was donated to local non-profits and community groups through the S2S "Hire a Volunteer" program! If you know a group that might be interested in volunteering\, please ask them fill out the online application on our website under "Charities" and we will contact them promptly with additional information.
