About Us
SCS HISTORY
Sandpoint Christian School was established in 1996 to meet educational needs of the Christian Community in Sandpoint and the surrounding areas. SCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International. All Christian denominations are welcome.
SCS MISSION
Serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade in a private Christian enviroment. The mission of SCS is to support Christian families and their churches by preparing students to be disciples of Christ through Biblical and scholastic training.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
SCS maintains academic standards that challenge students to their highest achievements. Students are tested yearly using the SAT 10 to measure their progress.
CURRICULUM
SCS teaches from a distinctly Christian perspective and often utilize technology or other active lab applications. Key publishers include ABEKA, Bob Jones and Horizons.
ENRICHMENT
SCS provides opportunities for enrichment in the following ares: Computer Science, Physical Education, Art, Music, Foreign Language, & ACSI events such as:Spelling Bee and Speech Meets.
PERSONAL GROWTH & CHRISTIAN SERVICES
SCS recognizes that God has given each individual unique gifts, talents, and abilities. Students are encouraged to develop their gifts for God's service in the community or through student coucil and yearbook projects.
